This is something that you perceive ourselves. Yea, how we perceive ourselves.
Types
There are 3 types of self-esteem.
- High
- You tend to love and accept yourself
- Inflated
- Think of yourself as better than others
- Low
- You think of yourself as below average. They don’t believe in themselves. They don’t place value in themselves.
You probably didn’t know that did you. Well, now you know.
Low
If you have the low type, I like have, then you tend to have the following effects
- Poor relationships
- Addiction
- Depression
- Anxiety
I had 3 of the 4 above. I haven’t valued myself as a normal person. It sucks big time. The anxiety you have just sucked big time and that leads to Depression and that just sucks.
My experience
Throughout my youth, I found that I valued myself as nothing. I was bullied, made fun of all the time. That is why I thought of myself as nothing. I will never amount to anything. Why, should I try?
One of the people who used to make fun of me was high up in a company and I was just a delivery person. I delivered computer stuff for a company. I felt like I was 2 feet tall. He knew who I was and was nice to me. Didn’t make fun of me for being a delivery person. He didn’t shove it down my throat that is was high up. He changed, but the thoughts in my head of what he said, never left. They were still there with me.
IT SUCKS BIG TIME
I don’t think I have been happy at all, well, you will have to define happiness. I guess you can be happy in your own way. That is a discussion for another time in life.
I have to figure out how to value myself as above average.
