Monster Trucks

As part of the Utah Country Fair which is in the early part of August. It features a lot of activities with major events.

Three Major events

The three major events at the Country fair are the following:

August 5, 2021
- Western Night Rodeo
August 6, 2021
- Monster Trucks and figure 8 racing
August 7, 2021
- UTC Demolition Derby

We usually go to the demolition derby, but my father-in-law brought all the guys tickets this year and we had a guy’s night out. I know a wild party out on the night.

So this was an interesting part of the show. This is where cars go around the two sets of cars that the monster trucks will destroy and then try and avoid other cars. There were some close calls and then some so not close. A couple of wrecks. I am not sure how they determine the winner, they just do.

They had three rounds and they had three different winners with the last winner taking the win overall. One car was missing a wheel, one had the front-wheel-drive locked up, one car had one of the wheels locked up. I mean they continue to drive them.

Monster Trucks

There were 4 of them and they were pretty loud. They had 3 rounds as well.

1st round
- Wheelie
2nd round
- 2 truck racing
3rd round
- Freestyle

The wheelie round was just the trucks jumping over cars and seeing how high they can lift the front tires off the ground.

The truck racing was 2 trucks racing around the track at a time. The one that won it, I swear it didn’t win. You can see that in the video below.

Then the freestyle round.

This was an interesting one, they did what they wanted to do. Sniper got a lot of air and did some good things. They all did a good job. I liked Dragon Slayer’s routine better.
