Friday Night Lights, baby!! Oklahoma State (OSU) travels to Provo, Utah, to take on BYU.

At 14:03 in the second quarter, BYU took the ball from the 1-yard line and scored. That was after OSU threw an interception, which was returned to the 1-yard line.

After that, it was all OSU. It took ten plays and 75 yards to score a TD.

Then it took eight plays and 75 yards to score another TD.

2nd Half

Third quarter

BYU came out on fire and held OSU to no points. Nonetheless, BYU scored 14 unanswered points.

Fourth Quarter

BYU has stepped up their game and knows how to start the fourth.

That was short-lived, as OSU, on the first play, scored a TD

BYU would kick an FG with 9:39 left in the fourth

All BYU has to do is hold OSU and not let them score. But the BYU defense could not keep them on two fourth downs and one play. OSU scores a touchdown.

With 1:12 left in the game, BYU starts at the BYU 25 and goes down the field. With 0:19 seconds left in the game, Jake drops back and hits Lassier for a 35-yard TD.

Thoughts

BYU is ranked number one in the Big 12. OSU is ranked 14. You know where BYU was supposed to be this year. I thought this game was going to be different. It was a good game, but not this close.

For a time, I thought BYU would lose this game, especially when OSU scored with 1:12 left.

But BYU does what BYU does, and they go down and score.

The questions

Will the BYU defense show up?

They didn’t show up for most of the game. I mean, 34 points were scored on you, and 269 yards were rushing. You didn’t show up. They need to do better.

How will the offense do?

The offense scored all the points in this game. You know you have some work to do when you throw three interceptions.

It was a good game, but it must not be so close.

Next Game

BYU will travel to Orlando, FL, to take on the Knights of the University of Central Florida. I’m unsure of the time, but I will update you when I have it.
