BYU vs. TCU Gritty Rain Win: Old School Football and Game Day Recap

The Game

It was a rainy day in Fort Worth. Worth. It was about 70 degrees and humid. Old school football.

My Thoughts

Well, you can check out my thoughts here

Game Day Food

I made some orange chicken and noodles. Sorry, no photos, but check out the video for the food.

1st Half

It was a slow first half. No one scored until the second quarter, after a BYU interception that went for 59 yards. It took BYU forever to put it in the end zone. That is when Bear called his own number and put it in.

BYU’s defense was doing well until that last TCU drive, and they scored.

So the first Half was a punter’s dream.

Thoughts so far

Well, I thought BYU would be sluggish for the first Half. They were, and it shows. LJ Martian might be out with an ankle injury. I. Glasker might be out with a hip injury or something.

This looks like a slow-moving game so far. With only 101 yards so far. It’s a really sad statistic. It either shows that TCU’s defense is strong and holding BYU, or BYU just isn’t performing.

2nd Half

BYU had a better second half. Bear scored his second TD of the day. BYU did kick a FG earlier. TCU missed one. TCU’s kicker is struggling this year.

TCU drove down the field and kicked a FG to make it 17-10. Kicked an onside kick, which BYU recovered.

That is how the game ended.

Thoughts

The whole game was slow-moving. Both teams had pretty bad yardage totals. Did the rain affect the game? Not sure. What is up with all the dang screen plays? They were not working. Not sure how this will affect BYU’s ranking. But it is what it is. BYU came out with a win.
