If you look at the Big 12 non-conference games, they are playing 13 games against Power Four opponents plus Notre Dame.
Yes, I did say Notre Dame. They travel to Provo, Utah, to take on BYU on Oct 17, 2026. This should be a good game.
Rival Games
Now, unlike most other conferences, the rival games aren’t the last game of the year. Odd, I know, right?
The games are all over the place

But the week of Thanksgiving features the Territorial Cup with Arizona hosting Arizona State.
So this season looks good. We have 16 teams, and they are full of good games week in and week out.
Championship Game
The game now moves to Friday, Dec 4, 2026, in the 7 P.M. CST slot on ABC. Now is this a good move? It all depends on how you look at it. But with no other games being played, the whole world will be watching the top 2 teams battle it out.
Bottom line
The international games and the headline game of the year, Oct 17, 2026. Notre Dame at BYU. This year is going to be a great year. I will keep up with the times as they become known.
