Part 1 of New Houe

During 2020 my wife and I were talking and since we both were working from home and she had an office and I didn’t mine was the kitchen or the living room.

Decided

We decided to go and look for a new house. WE wanted to build and not buy an existing one due to our desire to customize things.

Me

Want to network the house like I did before but with the ability to add many more network cables in the future.  Some custom plugs in the house.

Wife

She wanted a bigger pantry, a soaker tub, and an open concept.

We went looking at a lot of houses, we finally went with Arive homes. We were looking in Springville, where we lived for 22 years. But they were $100,000 cheaper in Spanish Fork. We decided on that. We started the process of the whole thing on May 5, 2020. We moved in on March 5, 2021.

Didn’t want to

Move to Spanish Fork, I just had something I didn’t like about Spanish Fork. But, we found a lot and the adventure began.

Got in

Before the prices of new homes skyrocketed. We got the last lot in the old build which was a bit cheaper than the lot we wanted. So that was good. Nowadays it is about $100,000 higher than the base price. I mean with all of our upgrades and changes we made. We are about even with the new prices oh yea and you have to bid on the lot. Like I will pay $25,000 more, then someone can come in and say $27,0000 and on.
