1st Quarter

The first quarter was a good one for BYU. They scored three touchdowns right off the bat. BYU’s offense did a good job. The defense stepped up and intercepted the ball to help with that 21 points.

The quarter ended with Baylor scoring a TD.

2nd Quarter

BYU scored 10 points, Baylor scored another TD, and it was getting to be a game now.

3rd Quarter

Baylor just kept on going with the TDs. They scored another one and held BYU to only 3 points.

4th Quarter

So far, Baylor has only allowed 1 TD in the fourth quarter, last week against Colorado. BYU tried but didn’t make it, and they missed the FG.

Baylor got the ball and worked down the field but couldn’t convert.

BYU got it back, and all they needed to do was run out the clock, as there was 1:47 left. Then, a personal foul pushed them back. What will BYU do? Run up the middle? Another personal foul? Make a first down?

Yep, they ran it up the middle, and it will be 4th and 13. That was a stupid personal foul.

BYU will have to punt it. The last punt was about 70 yards. Baylor made a fair catch, and they will need to score a touchdown to win the game.

Holding plenty on Baylor brought back a good play.

Thoughts

Unfortunately, I missed the first half of the game due to another commitment. I’m not too fond of it when they don’t tell you the time earlier. But it was a good game overall. BYU came out strong, but Baylor kept pushing and came within 6 points.

Did the #22 BYU Cougars make a statement? They did, but they let Baylor come back. Now, onto the questions.

Will BYU’s offense show up today?

They had some good plays, but they still have done better. J. Retzlaff did throw 2 picks. They need to focus more.

Will the Defense still stand strong?

They came out in the first half and helped push BYU to a 21-point lead. But I think the heat wore them out, and they were getting tired. But they did show up when it was needed.

BYU starts out 5-0.

BYU has a BYE week next week. Then, they will play the Arizona Wildcats in Provo. I’m not sure of the time yet, but it will most likely be a night game.
