Embracing Change for Growth

If you feel stuck and are going nowhere, and are trying to figure out what to do, you will have to look at yourself and see what you need to change. Why would you need to change? That is a good question.

Stuck

You are stuck in your life and feel like nothing is working. You are getting frustrated, sick, and tired of the status quo. You are trying to figure out what else you can do to escape this hole. Like I said above, you need to change yourself.

Change

If you look at the featured image, you will see the following saying at the top of this post.

If you change nothing, nothing will change

What does this mean?

If you aren’t happy, you will have to change to become satisfied. You must make hard choices and determine what needs to change to improve your happiness. That is just one example. There could be other things you must adjust to improve your life.

Embracing Change

  • Understanding the Status Quo

We are all creatures of habit. We get into a routine and become comfortable, and we don’t want to do anything that might change that. We miss leads and opportunities. We miss the potential of things.

  • The Road to Growth

You don’t have to jump all in at once. Change can come in some steps. Any step in the right direction is a step toward moving forward. You can do the following:

  • Start small
    • You don’t need to say I will lose 50lbs and then don’t eat and expect that weight to come off in days. It won’t
  • Set Clear Goals
    • This is why you need to set Clear Goals like
      • Eat better
      • Walk 10,000 steps a day
      • No Sugar
  • Embrace Failure
    • Only one person was perfect. The rest of us will have to embrace failure in our lives.
    • We might do well, and then something happens, and you need to start over
  • Surround Yourself with Support
    • If you have people who doubt you, that isn’t good. Please get rid of them
    • Only have people who will support you in success or failure
  • Stay Curious
    • Stay open for new experiences and then embrace the idea of change.
  • Taking Action
    • You will ultimately have to decide whether you are making the effort to make this happen.
    • This is the hardest step to make or get done.
    • Effort, if you want that change, then you will have to do something

Now What

Now that we have a blueprint for change, what are you going to do to make that change? Effort is the hardest part of change. If you want the change but are afraid of putting in the effort because you are afraid of failing, then you will never change.

You need to change where you are.
