On September 8, 2021, I went in for my yearly diabetic eye check-up. What did I find out? Let’s find out.
Back story
My current eye doctor I have known since I was 17 years old, yes, that is a few years. She knows my eyes very, very well. She was there when I ripped off the skin of my eye removing my contacts. Yes, that was painful.
Eye Scan
I went in and I had an eye check-up and well I have been having issues with my left eye. The eye I have been having issues with for the longest time. It has been my worse eye for sight. I have always had issues. I think that is the eye I took the skin off when I was taking out my hard contacts one night. It didn’t go as well as I wanted it to go. I have to come back on Monday for a full eye exam. On Monday, Sept 13, 2021.
No
Yes, I wasn’t looking forward to this appointment, they did a range of tests. I found out that my eyes are good. No signs of Diabetic Eye issues. Which is a good thing. No sign of glaucoma, which is good. But that left eye is having issues.
I do need lenses, just what I wanted to hear and I have to wait until January to get my lenses as that is when the insurance will kick in.
Specialist
It was suggested that I go see another doctor that will do an ultrasound on my eyes to see what is going on with my vision. So that will be on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021. I will update you on that next week.
