My thoughts of becoming a famous YouTuber needed to start somewhere right. But, unfortunately, my HP 17″ laptop wouldn’t make it for me.

Thanksgiving time (A few years ago)

It was a dark and stormy night; isn’t that how Snoppy started his stories? But, of course, it wasn’t a stormy night. However, it was a night. It was Thanksgiving night, and Best Buy was having a sale on MacBook Airs. I talked my wife into letting me get one. She said, “Just go get the damn thing so you will stop bugging me!” So, that was all I needed to hear, and I was gone.

I know what you think: I am a stupid idiot for going to Best Buy at 11:30 PM. The line is going to be extended. They won’t have any. You should have left at 11 AM. Iddiott!

Well, I arrived there at about 11:50 PM; I parked and walked right into the store, no line. I walked back to where the Apple stuff was at. People were standing around, not being helped. Not sure if they were waiting to be enabled or couldn’t decide what to get. A “blue Shirt” looked at me and said; can I help you? I said I am looking for the MacBook Air you have on sale. He said, let me look if we have any. They did, and I didn’t care if it was Space Grey or Grey. They do the same thing.

He went in the back and got one. I paid for it and walked out all in about 20 min. I was home, and my wife was mad as hell. Why? Since I went out and got me something I wanted.

I picked this up for $999 and a total of $1,399.54. I did get Apple Care; you never know.

I saved $200 on it. It did have iMovie, so I wanted it to make some videos. So I used this thing for a while.

Did this help me become a YouTube star? No, it didn’t; I think it isn’t the computer that can make you a star. I have to put forth the effort to become a star.

It did help me learn how to create and edit videos. We did edit the following video on this MacBook Air.

This helped my son get into Southern Utah University (SUU). As a result, he is an ambassador there. If your kids consider attending school there, send them down for a red riot. You can also get a tour from the ambassadors. Ask for Ryker to be your tour guide.

I learned a lot by using a MacBook Air. It was nice to have all my Apple stuff communicate with each other.

Used it

I put this thing thru the ringer; I used it constantly it went on trips with me. It was my main computer since I no longer have a desktop. However, I did use my Windows computer to move big files from the internet to my server.

Dreamed of

Was this the computer that I was dreaming of? At one time, yes, it was. But I found that I had outgrown it, and it was just getting too slow for what I needed it for. So I needed to upgrade to something else.

It got the job done for what I needed it to do. Now my son uses it.
