This game is a must-win for the Cougars. After Utah came back and beat Kansas State, BYU needs to win this game. Let’s take a look at the game.
First Half
BYU started with the ball, but had to punt it away. BYU has got to settle down and play ball.
It looks like the defense came to play.
BYU scored first on a TD run by none other than Bear #47.
Bear just became the top BYU quarterback for scoring TDs in a season.
BYU’s Red Zone defense is good; they just stopped the Bearcats at the BYU 4-yard line. But it was a quick three-and-out for the Cougars. Now the Defense is back on the field.
A great punt return set up Cincinnati for a TD, putting it at 7 to 7

BYU couldn’t get the first down and had to settle for the FG. Puts BYU up by 3
To end the first half, the CNCY kicker missed his second FG of the game. BYU goes into halftime leading

Thoughts on First Half
LJ Martin is just a beast. Watching him run the ball and the punishment he puts out. He only has 69 yards. He needs to break it in the second half and do at least a buck fifty and two TDs
Defense:
They are still sitting on the receivers and giving them a good old cushion. No, cushion. Just play brilliant football.
Right now I think that BYU needs to come out a different team and show the Bearcats who they are.
Second Half
The Bearcats came out and threw an INT to the T Wall of BYU. So the defense came out on fire. Now the offense needs to come out and do something—no stupid plays.
Stupid play alert, a reverse lost 9 yards. But the next play, BYU got a face mask and a 1st down.
LJ Martian for the TD. (Now, it only needs one more)
The kicking game isn’t going well for CNCY; another missed FG, this one was the holder’s fault.
The Bearcats scored, and the game was
| BYU | 20 |
| CYNC | 14 |
BYU stopped CYNC and took the ball over and let LJ, do the rest. He did break free and score his second TD for the game.
BYU wins the game

| CYNC | 14 |
It could have clinched the Big 12 Championship game if Colorado had won. So on to next week to clinch.
Thoughts
BYU came out in the second half and ran the ball. Eating up time and let LJ Martin get 2 TD’s and 266 rushing yards.
He did surpass 1,000 yards on the year.
BYU came to play, and they showed it. Not quite the score I wanted, you know, style points, but it is a win.
Next Week
UCF comes to town on Saturday, Nov. 29, 202,5, TBD.
