In May of 2010, it was my 15th wedding anniversary so we decided to go to the Mexican Riviera.
Planning
This month 12 years ago we decided to go on a Cruise. Never been before and I didn’t want to go since I heard they are boring as hell. Nothing to do. But we talked to our travel agent neighbor and we booked it and we were ready. We got our Passports ordered. Yea, I never had one before, but we decided to get them. It was fast planning, we had to pay for it all right then, due to the cruise being in May.
A couple of people heard we were going and asked if they could come along. My wife said sure. More the merrier, I guess.
Mexican Riviera
Is on the west coast of Mexico. Here is a map
If you remember the Love Boat which aired on ABC from 1977 to 1986. It featured a cruise from Los Angles, California to the Mexican Riviera, mostly with a stop in Acapulco, Mexico. Granted I have never been to Acapulco. Would like to go one day. We have been to the following stops
- Cabo San Lucas
- Puerto Vallarta
- Mazatlán
Cruise
The cruise was from May 2 to May 9, 2010. It was a seven-night aboard the Mariner of the seas.
Left LA and headed South, the first time on a cruise so there was a lot to see and do. We stayed in an inside room with a view of the Royal promenade. We were on deck six.
Thoughts
The cruise was fun and there was a lot to do. I wasn’t bored at all. The food was great and free cookies at the café promenade. The only thing that sucked about this was the airport going home. I would be doing this again. If you haven’t gone on one. Go and I will go with you. Like a group cruise.
Video
Yep I did a video for YouTube.
