Overview of BYU Football 2024

The BYU Football season for 2024 is over. In this blog, let’s look at how the season turned out.

Overview

At the first of the season, the experts picked BYU to be the 13 team in the Big 12 once the season was over. To have a record of 5-7, if that. So, let’s look at the games.

Week one,

The first game of the season was a home game playing Southern Illinois. They were expected to win this game, and they did.

BYU 1-0

Week Two

This game was played at SMU, which had just joined the ACC, and SMU was rated to beat BYU. BYU went into that game and came out the winner. It was a very close game. That would be one of the few losses of the year.

BYU 2-0

Week three

BYU traveled to Laramie, Wyoming, to play the Cowboys. It had been a while since BYU had played there, and it was a good game. BYU won.

BYU 3-0

Conference Play

Now that the at-large or non-conference games are done, BYover, BYU will be a Big 12 Conference team.

Shocking BYU won all the preseason games.

Week Four

It was a home game at LES, and BYU was taking on the Kansas State Wildcats, ranked number 13 in the nation. BYU was supposed to lose this game, but they dismantled the Wildcats and came out with a good victory.

BYU 4-0

Week Five

BYU traveled to Waco, Texas, to play the Baylor Bears. It was another game that BYU was supposed to lose. It was a good game, and BYU was the winner.

BYU 5-0

Week Six

People were starting to see that BYU wasn’t a 5-7 team in the season.

Arizona came into LES ranked 5th in the preseason polpreseasonYU won.

BYU 6-0

Week Seven

OSU came into LES, and this was a good game. It came down to the last drive, which put BYU on top. Now, OSU would go on to lose all conference games.

BYU 7-0

Week Eight

BYU traveled to Orlando to play UCF. Something changed in that game. The BYU offense showed us something we haven’t seen in a while. They showed up this week, and BYU won that game.

BYU 8-0

Week Nine

After a bye week, BYU traveled North to take on the Utah Utes. The Utes were supposed to be the top dog, but so far, BYU was. This game was good, and it came down to the final seconds. Utah held BYU, all the Cougars needed to kick the winning field goal.

The Utah AD director said it was stolen from them, and they hate the Big 12.

BYU 9-0

Week Ten

After that win against the Utes, the Kansas Jayhawks came into LES, where they somehow pulled off the win. That was a good but sad game. BYU lost the game. First of the season

Week Elven

BYU went to Tempe, Arizona, to play the hot Sun Devils, who was picked to be 16 in the pre-season. They are now sitting at the top of the conference. The top dogs are going at it. The Sun Devils won the battle that night. The Sun Devils won the battle that night.

BYU 9-2

Week Twelve

They brought Houston to LES, and BYU played a good game and won, putting BYU at number three in the conference. It’s just outside of the championship game.

Bowl Game

BYU went to the Alamo, played Colorado, and looked on fellow Big 1lorado. This was good, and it was thee. It is the most-watched game outside of the College Football Playoffs.

BYU would beat a good Colorado team.

Thoughts

From being picked to finish number 13 in the pre-season, BYU proved everyone wrong and went on to be ranked third in the conference. Coming off a very successful year.

I think they surprised everyone. I was expecting BYU to struggle, but I was surprised at the success BYU achieved. Don’t get me wrong, I liked it, but I was shocked. That is why you do listen to “the experts.”They pick who they want.
