March 6, 2022, marked one year of us moving into a new home. Yep, that is right 1 year.
Moved in
When we moved in on March 6, 2021. There was a lot of work that needed to be done. Not only unpacking, but we needed to do the following:
- Sprinkler system
- Grass
- Cement
- Fence
- A lot of work to get the above things done.
Yea, we needed money to pay for all of this.
Get done
What did we get done?
- We put in a sprinkler system
- Brother in law did it along with the boys
- We brought in dirt and leveled it. That took a lot of effort and a lot of raking
- Had a bobcat and that was helpful as well
- We put down some hydro seed
- Sod was very expensive so we went with a cheaper version
- We brought in a lot of rock, gravel, so we could start doing cement.
- Some we got for free, the other costed us
- We got a cement pad done in the backyard
- It is a start
- We got a fence put in.
- Not the way we wanted to, this was done quickly, since if we did it with our neighbors it was the same install price. Instead of paying an extra $1,700.
- We got blinds
- This is a must to get, and it wasn’t cheap. Brand new house and bigger windows.
New things
I told my wife that she couldn’t do any projects until we are at least 1 year in the house. However, there were 2 projects that she got done with in the first 3 months. It was the mudroom and the accent wall in the bedroom.
Now that the year mark is up, my wife has a list of new things that she wants to be done.
