With the Super Bowl coming up on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024. I thought I would show you a good finger food to make for that day.
Chicken Wings
I love some good old chicken wings. I found a recipe I liked and thought, you know what? I could make it my own by adding a few things. So here is what I came up with.
Ingredients
- 3 lbs chicken wings
- 1 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- Two teaspoons of prepared mustard
- I use mustard from the bottle.
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
Directions
Depending on if they are frozen or not.
If frozen, like I use all the time, do the following:
- Put wings in the crockpot
- Combine all the ingredients and pour over the chicken wings.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2 -2 1/2 hours
- Or until cooked to the right temperature, 165 degrees.
- Eat and enjoy.
If not frozen then do the following:
- Cut off and discard wing tips. Cut each wing at a joint to make two sections.
- Place chicken on a pan.
- Place that pan on a unheated rack.
- Broil 4-5 inchees from the heat for 15-20 minutes. Turn them once.
- Transfer chicken to slow cooker
- Pour the ingredients over the chicken.
- Cover and cook
- For low 3-4 hours
- For high 1 1/2 hours
- Enjoy.
Thoughts
This is a really good side dish for any party. You can make it for dinner, lunch, or as a snack. If you love chicken wings, then this is the one to make.
