Chicken Wings

With the Super Bowl coming up on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024. I thought I would show you a good finger food to make for that day.

Chicken Wings

I love some good old chicken wings. I found a recipe I liked and thought, you know what? I could make it my own by adding a few things. So here is what I came up with.

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • Two teaspoons of prepared mustard
    • I use mustard from the bottle.
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Depending on if they are frozen or not.

If frozen, like I use all the time, do the following:

  1. Put wings in the crockpot
  2. Combine all the ingredients and pour over the chicken wings.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2 -2 1/2 hours
    1. Or until cooked to the right temperature, 165 degrees.
  4. Eat and enjoy.

If not frozen then do the following:

  1. Cut off and discard wing tips. Cut each wing at a joint to make two sections.
  2. Place chicken on a pan.
  3. Place that pan on a unheated rack.
  4. Broil 4-5 inchees from the heat for 15-20 minutes. Turn them once.
  5. Transfer chicken to slow cooker
  6. Pour the ingredients over the chicken.
  7. Cover and cook
    1. For low 3-4 hours
    2. For high 1 1/2 hours
  8. Enjoy.

Thoughts

This is a really good side dish for any party. You can make it for dinner, lunch, or as a snack. If you love chicken wings, then this is the one to make.
