Flag Pole

I have always wanted a Flag pole for the house. But my wife was like no, no, and NO!!

What I wanted

This is what I wanted in a flag pole.

This is a huge pole and flag, and I don’t think that would be allowed.

Afraid

She feared I would hang flags on the pole that she disapproved of. Like what, Justin?

I had just planned to fly the U.S. flag, but.

Finally

I could get one if I agreed to fly the U.S. Flag. So I did. I picked up a Telescoping Flag pole kit from Stand Flag Poles. It can go from 20 ft to 25 ft.

So, I have a flag pole now. What?

Dug the hole

We dug the hole, placed the sleeve in it, and then cemented it. It was all level, and things looked good. However, it seemed to settle during the winter and wasn’t straight anymore.

So my son dug this up rather unhappily, and we re-leveled it, and it is better but not perfectly straight. I think it has to do with the sleeve.

Different Rules

Even when my wife said no other flag would be flown on the pole. Well, she got this to fly on the flag pole.

It can hang a second flag.

I picked up a solar light so the U.S. flag can be flown 24 hours a day. As long as the re is a light on it.

However, during the wintertime, the flag might not be flying. Since the solar light doesn’t last in the winter.

Thoughts

I am a happy camper. I finally got something I wanted but with restrictions. But I am proud to fly the colors.
