On Aug. 7, 2024, BYU held a kickoff event for all the sports that BYU plays. It was held on a Wednesday, and it was a hot day.
The Event
I started at 6 p.m. and got there at about 6:30. It was getting hotter and crowded, but they had a lot of things for the kids to do.
Cheerleading was doing pull-ups.
- Soccer
- Golf
- Volleyball
- Basketball
- Football
You could interact with players and have some fun.
Other stuff
They, of course, had clothing and merchandise to buy. They also had this hat.
I mean, that is one big hat.
I know it wouldn’t fit my head.
They also had

- $4
- Chocolate Milk
- $4.25
- Cougar Tail
- $7
I would have loved to get that maple dough. However, that would have been something to put me into a sugar coma.
They also had free water.
They had a couple of booths where you could get autographs from some football and basketball members.

My Thoughts
It was a good event and fun, and it was nice to see what BYU had to offer. It wasn’t what I thought it would be, but it was a fun time. It was hot, yes, and that turf made it even hotter.
