I am making the transaction from updating my weight loss, which wasn’t happening. I am taking a different approach to it.
Health Update
I have decided to go with a Health Update where I am not focused on my weight. If I was I just would get discouraged and go on an emotional eating binge.
Changed my ways
I have tried to do a lot of things to lose weight and become more healthy, but nothing seems to work. I started to eat under 2,000 calories. It somewhat helped, then I would go out and eat at Chilis, or Chinese. Then that was shot to hell.
I started to make commitments and I followed through with the commitments. Here is what I started to do
- Walk for 30 min a day
- No chips
- I love chips
- No candy
- Ugh, candy, I love
- Add 7,000 or more steps a day.
- Hard to do some days
- Eat under 2,000 calories
- Text a friend to see if I did it.
Walking isn’t a problem unless it is cold or snowing. I mean under 20 degrees outside. If there is snow on the ground, I don’t want to slip and fall on the ice and hurt myself or worse, break or do something to my ankles. I have had both of my ankles in a cast at one point in time.
Chips–
I love to eat chips, like salt-n-vinegar my Favorite, or barbeque chips. So I had to give them up I was eating way too much of them. I mean a bag at a time. I know it sucks.
Candy—
I love candy, it doesn’t matter what it is I like it. I could eat a whole bag of M&M’s I mean the family sharing size. It is bad for me. You know sugar levels.
Steps —
Since I work from home, it is hard for me to get steps in, But I walk at night and I have to sometimes walk longer than the 30 minutes to get in the steps.
Calories —
I changed up the way I eat, it is hard, but it will be worth it. I am eating and I am staying under the 2,00 limit.
Text a friend —
If you have the accountability to some other than your spouse, then it makes you want to do it more.
Did it pay off
So far yes it has paid off, today, I weighed 302 lbs. So I am on my way.
