What is it

Williams syndrome (WS) is a genetic condition that is present at birth and can affect anyone. How does it happen

This is the cause of the deletion of 26 to 28 genes on chromosome #7. This happens at the time of conception. The sperm or the egg can have this happen to them. It is a 1 in 10,000 chance. It is most likely that the elastin gene in most families.
