Hot Chocolate, Cooking

The first cooking with Justin wasn’t a healthy one, but it was a sweet one. I decided to film this one for some reasons.

Typical Hot Chocolate

If I make some typical hot chocolate, it is with powder and water. Yes, you can make it with milk. But I do water. I use the following:

Wait about 8 minutes, and it is down. The white one turns off automatically. The black one does not. I found that out when I left it run for about 12 min and was like, why isn’t it turning off? Yeah, the Hot Chocolate was very hot.

Holiday Way

Now, the Holiday way is to make it in the crockpot. The reasons I filmed this first are

  • It is the holiday season
  • It is cold outside
  • My wife was having a get-together.

I made a Chocolate one and a white chocolate one.

Recipe

Chocolate one

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 6 cups whole milk
  • One package of milk chocolate chips
    • You can use semi-sweet for 1/2 of the chips (but why?)
  • One teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1  14 oz can of Sweet condensed milk

Directions

  • Combine all the ingredients in the crock pot
  • Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 2 hours or until the chocolate is melted and the milk is hot.
  • Stir well before serving.
  • You can turn it on high if you have issues with the melting chocolate chips.

White Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 6 cups whole milk
  • One package of white chocolate chips
  • One teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • One  14 oz can of Sweet condensed milk.

Directions

  • Combine all the ingredients in the crock pot
  • Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 2 hours or until the chocolate is melted and the milk is hot.
  • Stir well before serving

Suitable for the soul.

Done

Once it is done, serve it up with

Some of those items. I like marshmallows.

Thoughts

This isn’t a healthy item, but it sure is good. I love some hot chocolate. I will do a Breakfast casserole during the next Cooking with Justin Episode.
